Air Fryer Naan Pizza (+ a Halloween twist!)

Air Fryer Naan Pizza (+ a Halloween twist!)

Cooking pizza in your air fryer is a trick that you may already have learned. Have you noticed that supermarket “snack” pizzas fit perfectly on the crisper rack?  But we’ve discovered an even better hack to make your own mini pizza…

Mini naan breads. Easy to buy, with a long shelf-life, these puffy little breads form the base of our fastest air fryer pizza.

Since spooky season’s on the way, we’ve added a Halloween twist to these air fryer pizzas. But you can replace the olives with any other delicious (or scary) ingredients to make this air fryer pizza your own!

Try rummaging in the fridge for special toppings – that’s how real gourmet discoveries emerge. If you’ve never had a pizza topped with broccoli or yesterday’s cold sausage, why not?

Air Fryer Pizza (Naan Bread Pizza)

1 mini naan bread
1 1/2 tsp pesto or tomato puree
Toppings: caramelised onion chutney, sliced tomatoes, pine nuts, goats’ cheese, cold chicken, prosciutto, chorizo, thinly sliced onion, thinly sliced broccoli… go wild, try something unusual!
To finish: grated mozzarella, grated cheddar, grated parmesan

1 – It’s easiest to spread the pesto or puree on top of your naan bread before placing it in the basket.

2 - Place the crisper rack inside the glass drawer and place your naan pizza on top.

3 – Carefully add your toppings – quite sparingly – and sprinkle with cheese, more generously.   (Cheese shrinks!)

4 – Bake at 190°C for 5-6 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly.

TIPS

-  We made our Halloween air fryer pizzas with olives and edible eyes added AFTER cooking (available from most supermarkets).
