Air Fryer Egg on Toast

If you have ever scrubbed fried egg off a frying pan and regretted your choices, welcome to the air fryer way of life  😊 Making egg on toast in your Clear Mini air fryer is surprisingly simple and fun!  Add all the chic toppings that you like (crumbled feta, chilli flakes, or chopped avocado) and make your dream weekend brunch.

Use the air fryer method to make a simple egg on toast, seasoned with salt and pepper. Or add delicious extras to recreate the brunch dishes from your favourite breakfast place!  We know which one we’re doing.

Here are some ways to serve your egg on toast:

-       🍴     Topped with crumbled feta and chilli flakes

-        🍴    Topped with smashed avocado and bacon

-          🍴  Garnished with chilli oil and micro-greens

-        🍴    Topped with hollandaise sauce (like eggs benedict)

-         🍴   Finished with grated cheddar (added in the last two minutes).

Air Fryer Egg on Toast

Serves 1

1 slice Tiger bread
Butter, to spread
1 egg

We topped with:
Pinch of sea salt flakes
1 tsp Crispy Chilli Oil
Mizuna micro-greens

1 – Lightly butter your slice of bread on both sides.  

2 – Use a ramekin to make a light indentation in the bread, then press with your fingers (don’t press the ramekin too hard – it will cut right through – don’t ask us how we know).  

3 – Crack your egg into the indentation.

4 – Put the crisping rack into the Clear Mini Glass Air Fryer.  Carefully place your egg-topped bread onto it.

5 – Cook at 175°C for 8-9 minutes*. Rest for a minute before lifting onto a plate and garnishing.    

*You’ll want to experiment with the timings to get your egg just the way you like it.
